Philosophy: I like kids to have fun, but I think it's important that they learn and learn to enjoy different things that are good for them. Creativity is a big YES for me, so I try to foster it in all children. I have a substantial supply of art/craft supplies for us to work with and given proper wages am happy to purchase more. Physical activity, schoolwork/studying, miscellaneous education, art, music, imagination, philosophy, and something they've never tried before, are all things I try to incorporate into daily or regular activity.

Activities of course depend on age group and the interests of the child and parents; however, my favorite and most successful activities with children tend to focus on creativity and mental stimulation. For children old enough to indulge I like to include no-mess/easy clean-up arts and crafts (drawing, making jewelry, making clay beads, discovering new creative outlets), listening to music (occasionally while singing along and dancing ridiculously; this is especially popular with the younger children), making up stories and writing poetry/lyrics together, and reading.

For infants and toddlers I like to focus more on physical and cognitive stimulation through exercise and teaching them new skills and information. Singing, reading out loud, drumming, sound imitation, muscle development and attention activities are all major foci of play. Building blocks and puzzles are also activities I love to participate in.

I'm great help with homework and studying and am more than willing to sit there for hours explaining material if that's what your child needs or wants. While I am not officially a tutor or school teacher I am in the near future becoming a substitute teacher and eventually achieving licensure. I am soon graduating with my B.S., majoring in Psychology and make for an excellent tutor/study buddy. I paid for and received official college CPR training, the certificate now expired.

I am in particular seeking to provide evening/overnight care and am available Mon-Fri 6pm until 11am the following day. Sundays I am fully engaged; Saturdays are my preferred day/night off, but I am more than happy to hear you out. I hired personal transportation to drive me to and from every day but will not transport children.

I work for my host family mon-fri 9-5 and Saturday evening from 6-11. Every other time I would be available.

When I signed up with my Au pair agency I had a child/infant CPR training and also got a background check before I got my visa.

When I was in high school I used to babysit for a family with two children, a 6 year old boy and a 9 year old girl. I also worked as a summer au pair in England where I looked after three children, two boys, age 6 and 10 and a girl age 8. After my job as a summer au pair, I worked as an afterschool babysitter, where I was at the house, to look after the three children when they came home from school. Here I looked after two boys age 8 and 10, and a 6 year old girl.

When I was in high school I did an interrnship at a daycare center, with children age 8 weeks, till 4 years. I lived in Australia in 2011, and when I was there I volunteered at a daycare center for over 200 hours mostly with children from 6 weeks till 18 months, but usually a few hours a day with some older children as well. When I lived there I also did some evening babysitting, looking after a 1 and 3 year old.

I went back to the Netherlands in 2012, and did some more babysitting, looking after 2,5 year old twin boys, which was really fun!

Currently I'm working as an Au pair to save up some money to finish my Bachelor of Social Work, here in the US (hopefully Hawaii).

I really love kids, and especially all their different interest and imagination. I love to read to them, and with my current host children I also sing some Dutch songs.

I have worked a great deal with children, both in and out of the classroom. As a teenager I babysat for a friend of the family and had the opportunity to watch her two little boys grow up. Previous to that I worked in a 3rd grade classroom with Migrant Education for several summers (as a teachers assistant).

I just recently left my last position as summer coucelor at a private school where I had my own Kindergarden classroom, and also ran the theatre department for the whole camp. After the summer, the school asked me to stay on for after school activities during the year. I had a wonderful time with the kids there, and it was with a heavy heart I said goodbye to everyone, so that I could accept my new position as Behavioral Therapist.

I now work through a private company that services both Montgomery and Bucks County IU's, and work with each child's IEP to help get him or her at his highest level of functioning.

While I'm very happy with this new position, I don't get quite as many hour as I'd like, and I'd love to supplement my income with additional childcare. I have all of my clearances (both state and federal FBI fingerprinting background checks), proof of TB testing, and am certified in adult, child, and infant CPR/First Aid/AED. I'm an exellent tutor and would be happy to aid your child with any homework or extra help.

I potty trained the toddlers, changed infant diapers, worked on abc's and numbers with some kids or even played games with older kids. After that, I nannied 2 boys, aged 2 and 3, for four years. My duties were to clean house, feed the boys during the day and adults dinner each night, teach the boys the basics for kindergarten, potty train the youngest and whatever else needed to be done. In 2007, two more children were added to my nannying duties. I watched all four until 2008. When I moved away, I worked retail but I still found time to babysit two boys. They were 4 and 5 years old. Now I am a stay at home mom with a 2 year old daughter that I would like to find a playmate for. The extra money would come in handy too. My hours are 6am-3pm at my house during the week.
