I have worked in daycare for 14 years at with Infants and older children, but mostly in classroom with Infants. While I have worked with the Infants at Kinder Care I would feed them, changed diapers, rock and cuddled the babies, give them hugs & kisses, sing songs and I would interact on the floor with the children. Also I have babysat teacher's children for 9 years in my home…While I was babysitting I have taught the preschoolers their abc’s, their numbers, their colors, read stories, doing arts and crafts, doing indoors and outdoors activities etc. and I would teach the Infants their developments skills such as, to put a toy in the baby hand and for him or she to reach out for that toy, crawling, walking, encourage him/her to pull themselves up, played on the floor with them and give them so much love etc. I have learned over the years of my experiences of babysitting was to have fun with the children while playing and working with them to get ahead start in life. I also have learned to interact with children such as, reading stories, sing songs, help them with their work etc. And most of all give them the attention and listen to them when they are speaking to us and give the children so much love and hope for a better future. Children will look up to us as their role model, and they want us to treat them with respect like we do…not just because they are little people because they are wonderful children and a terrific human being just like all of us.
