I justed graduated from Maize High School and I am now attending Butler for Elementary Eduacation. I worked at Kid to Kid for almost 2 years before moving on to a higher paying job. But I absoloutley love Kid to Kid. In high school, I took Child Development 1, Child Development 2, and Family Lifestyles. Even though I am only 18 I have a lot more experience with children than most older adults do. In the classes I had to observe 4 different day care facilities, care for a mechanical baby for 3 days, and be 8 months preganant with the fake belly for a day at school. The baby gave me the best experience though. I had to change diapers, feed, burp, hold, and support its head as it was on a ball that moved. It was just like a real baby and everything happened at random. I have also babysatt 5 children including an infant and toddler when I was 13 and I have babysatt 2 school aged children for over 2 years. I have also babysatt my neighbors newborn for more than 10 hours at a time. I also have helped watch young children at my friends home day care. I have also watched my other 3 siblings. I have a lot of patience and care. I absolutely love children and feel they need great care and supervision. This is why I am going to school to be a second grade teacher.
