I have been helping out with my grandmas home day care, when I am not in school, since I was 8 or 9 years old. The daycare had kids anywhere from 6 months to 5 years old. I would help with the food responsibilities, play time, and nap time. The daycare was open from 7:30 to when the last parent came, so I am used to long hours. I worked as a camp counselor one summer, which had kids 2 and a half to four years old. At the camp I was also in charge of play time, getting food, helping with arts and crafts, and out door time. I have baby sat family friends' children since I was about 12. I have baby sat for kids between the ages of 2 and 12, so I have had a wide range of age experience. I have baby sat for families of up to 3 kids. Some of my responsibilities while baby sitting included cooking food, taking the kids to the park/pool/library, helping with laundry, bed time routines, doing arts and crafts, playing games, and much more. I had volunteered for a kids reading program at my local library for a few summers, and this involved helping them read, playing games, and arts and crafts. This program was from babies to kids through sixth grade. I have taken a summer school baby sitting course saying I am certified to babysit kids. I am planning on certifying myself in CPR, as well as first aid. I am pet friendly too!
