My family recently moved to the boulder area from St. louis. We only new one person in town. My husbands boss asked us to go to a dinner and I had to find a babysitter quick. I googled babysitters boulder and found Care4hire.com. A whole list of choices came up. After paying a small fee to join, I was able to see their profiles and given access to their emails and phone numbers. I called a couple of the girls and got responses within the next 2 hours. I chose a student from CU, who could not have been more perfect. She and my son hit it off right away. I now have the piece of mind that I can always find a babysitter. I would reccemend this to anyone.

Past childcare experience and qualifications:
I've been babysitting since my early teens, but as an adult I've worked with children in a few different capacities. Right after high school I was hired by a family friend to work with his 5-year-old autistic son in a program called Applied Behavior Analysis. A professional gave us continual training and guidance to implement the program as effectively as possible throughout the entire process. I worked within the parameters of the program to help him overcome some of his behavioral and learning deficits. In addition to working with him in therapy, I was also asked to shadow him in preschool. Shortly after finishing with that family, my eldest sister asked me to help her with her five young children as a mother's helper/nanny. She had a newborn, a 1-year-old, and three elementary-school-aged children at the time (4 boys, 1 girl). I cooked, cleaned, and did laundry. I also bathed, fed, played, and helped the children with their homework, amongst many other things. This continued on for about 5 years until my move to NY last year. Last August, I was hired to work as a live-in nanny for a family in Midtown with two young boys (ages 3 & 6). I cooked for the boys, bathed them, helped them with their homework, got them ready in the morning, took them to activities outside the house (parks, zoos, museums, etc.), and of course, played with them. I recently finished a job on June 6th with a family on the UWS with two boys (17 monhs. & 3 years old). For the last 7 months I worked for them as a very early morning nanny. I was tasked with the primary job of helping the boys wake up at a more appropriate time in the morning as well as making sure that the morning routine and chores get done. Eventually, we succeeded enough in our goal to have them sleep longer in the morning that I wasn't really needed anymore. Well, that's my childcare experience in a nutshell. I love to be outside as much as possible and I like to go to activities outside the house as well, parent permitting of course. I am CPR certified (infant & adult) and I'm willing to do housework, errands, and child-related cooking. Please feel free to me any questions. Thank you!
